Where My Love Grows

Mother’s Day Makeover Project Mother from 2022

Lindsay Carpenter

Meet Lindsay, our 2022 deserving mother. She is a loving wife to Jordan, a amazing mother to her 22-month-old daughter Nora and a dedicated teacher in our community. Last year they moved to the perfect plot of land with a fixer-upper home. They quickly realized it needed more work than they anticipated. Lindsay worked hard on all the improvements it needed and did her best to make it a home for them. Renovations plans came to a halt, when they found out they were expecting triplets! They now need to make room for three more babies. So, they gave up their master bedroom for the baby's room and moved into the sunroom.

Lindsay tells us, "I feel so blessed to have had this bedroom makeover. The amazing support, love, and gratitude I felt during this transformation have allowed me to enjoy my triplet pregnancy with less worry and less on my to-do list. Thank you to everyone who helped or, donated to make this transformation possible." It took a team of amazing people to make it possible and, we are so happy to hear we could relieve some stress for you!

Lindsay says, "The closet and sitting area where I'll snuggle and feed our babies is one of our favorite parts of the room. It's such a peaceful space where we can bond with our children and enjoy our surroundings."

On Monday May 30th, around 9pm Lindsay and Jordan welcomed their triplets;

Baby A Girl - Hallie Jane Carpenter 4lbs 1oz

Baby B Boy - Anson Porter Carpenter 4lbs 7oz

Baby C Boy - Garrett Peter Carpenter 4lbs 7oz

Hallie and Garrett spent two weeks in the NICU after being born and Anson spent just over 6 weeks. Babies are all healthy and happy and growing on track. They are all doing well and are adjusting to being a family of 6! Nora loves being a big sister!

How the design process worked

Lindsay’s sunroom is a long narrow room with many windows, doors, and no closet. This space was a fun design challenge that myself and my team were excited to tackle. We surprised Lindsay at her home with the news that she would be receiving a bedroom makeover! We quickly got to work that day measuring and brainstorming. I had Lindsay give me a list of her needs and wants and sent me a Pinterest board of her dream bedroom so I can get a good feel for her style. With the short time frame, we were working with I imminently sourced the perfect bed and ordered it the next day so it would be here before the babies come. I spent the next couple of weeks designing, sourcing items, and reaching out to sponsors so that everything would go smoothly once we started the transformation. While we began work on Lindsay's bedroom, she was able to stay with family so the whole transformation could be a surprise. We completed the work in less than six days. That is a complete bedroom transformation from start to finish in less than a month! We were tired but, we were so excited to show Lindsay and her family what we had been up to!
