1. Who is eligible to win this bedroom makeover?
A mother, mother to be, or bonus mom that is living in the Leduc County area. That includes, City of Leduc, Beaumont, Devon, Calmar and Thorsby for example. It is ideal they own their home so we won't run into issues with the landlord.
2 . Are you allowed to nominate yourself?
Yes, you can most defiantly nominate yourself, sometimes we need help and the hardest thing to do is ask for help.
3. Does this makeover cost the winner anything?
No, the chosen Mother does not have to pay anything. This makeover is completed merely by donations for our local business and our amazing community.
4. What is the expected time line for the transformation to be completed.
Once we announce the winner at the beginning of April the designing and planning starts. Once we have our design plan, we begin organizes all the donations and shopping for all the items that need to go into the transformation. The week before Mother's Day we actually start the makeover and ask that the Mother not peak at her room while we work on it, or if possible, she stays with family so we can keep the bedroom transformation a total surprise for her. It usually takes about one week once we are in the bedroom to complete the entire transformation.
5. Does the mother have any say in what goes into her bedroom?
When designing the mother's room for them I ask them what are their needs, wants and style are. I also have them create a Pinterest board of their dream bedroom. With that Pinterest board and their answers to my questions the bedroom is designed around, personalized to their needs and style. The Mothers do not have any idea what their room will look like until we reveal it to them.
